Dr Daniel ('Dan' to family and friends) died peacefully on 5th February 2000 at Clifden House Nursing Home, Seaford, aged 92.
He attended BGS from 1917 to 1925. He was awarded the Parry Gold Medal in his final year. He had worked hard and played hard and the Headmaster and staff had high expectations for his future. They were proved to be correct.
Throughout his career in engineering he was highly respected for his professionalism. For may years he lived in Piddinghoe, East Sussex. A widower, he leaves daughters Katie and Sheila, grandchildren Selina, Maxine, Rupert, Duncan, Jessie and Oonagh, and great granddaughter Poppy.
