Obituary
From the 1943 issue of The Bostonian
By the sudden death of A. J. Harrison in February this year we have lost an old Boy who had gained distinction for himself and for the school during his academic career. Harrison was a member of the School from 1932 to 1940, and during this period he gained many awards, including the Parry Medal, a State Scholarship and an Open Scholarship at King's College, Cambridge. At Cambridge he had already achieved a considerable measure of success and at the time of his death he was engaged on important research in Chemistry. A good all-round sportsman, he gained his School and College Colours for football, a game which he played with keenness and skill. As Senior Prefect during 1939-1940 he exerted a good influence in the School. His death has brought a deep sense of personal loss to his friends.
