Obituary

From the 1978 issue of The Bostonian

Charles Bert Fleet died on 27th November 1977 in St Thomas' Hospital, Westminster, after a short illness. He was 70. At the age of 18 he joined E Fogarty and Co, a small private firm of feather purifiers. Within ten years he became director, and a little later managing director. By his drive and initiative, he built up the firm into what it is today, with its 1,200 employees in factories in various parts of the British Isles, producing goods well-known both nationally and internationally.
