William Sidney Harman died in June at his home in Bayswater Avenue, Boston, at the age of 75.
Bill was born in Boston and lived locally all his life. He retired from his post as a tax officer a decade or so ago.
During the war he served with the Lincolnshire Regiment (from 1939 to 1941). He was a keen sportsman and was a member of the Boston Cricket Club[1], Boston Indoor Bowling Club[2], Nomads Bowling Club and Nomads Table Tennis Club. He was a staunch supporter of the OBA.
The funeral service, conducted by Capt. P. Hatcher, was held at the Salvation Army Citadel[3].
Bill was a widower and is survived by a brother and two sisters.
