Obituary
From the February 1997 issue of The Old Bostonian
In October Charles died in Pilgrim Hospital at the age of 76. He was born at Peterborough but had lived in Boston most of his life.
He was that wondrous thing - an "engine driver", following his father and grandfather in a career on the railways. The family totalled over 100 years service between them.
Charles was a member of the Boston Probus Club, the Snooker and Outdoor Bowling Clubs and the Domino League.
He leaves wife Pearl, a son, a daughter, and two grandchildren. The funeral service at Boston Crematorium was conducted by the Rev Jean Blanchard.
