Conflict's first performance was in the Boston Grammar School library in 1979 for a German Club Christmas party. The band's singer, Martin Brooks was a member of the German Club. This gig was recorded by Ron Abbott.
Another gig also recorded by Ron Abbott took place before Christmas 1981; this time for Richard Anderson's form, which was a fourth or fifth year (year 10 or 11 in current terms). This gig came about because Philip Bullen, the band's bass player, was the form prefect.
The band continued to play together until 1982.
Ticket for a gig featuring Miasma and Conflict; Saturday, 27 June, 1981. While the ticket says the venue was to be "Freiston Hall" it was actually the Danny Flear Centre, Freiston.
