Lloyd C Horton was educated at Boston Grammar School (?-1968).

At BGS he was a prefect and a member of the school orchestra. He achieved 8 'O' Levels and 3 'A' Levels, gaining a place at Nottingham University on a sandwich course in Electrical Engineering.
