Mrs Grace Margaret Brough was a teacher of French at Boston Grammar School between 1941 and 1945.
Margaret Brough moved to Lincolnshire in 1931 to teach French at Boston High School which she did until her marriage shortly before the Second World War. During much of the war she taught at Boston Grammar School. It was convention at the time that women teachers who married left the profession but during the war many men joined the armed forces and some of these women were brought in to fill vacant teaching posts.
She was a watercolour artist. She exhibited her work throughout Lincolnshire and beyond. While teaching at Boston High School she taught Art as well as French.
