Victor Ludorum

Each summer all years groups at the school compete in (athletics) sports day events. In some years there has been a single event for the whole school and in others the school has been split into two or more sections with events held on separate days. A Victor Ludorum was awarded to the best competitor in each of the first five year groups and another for the upper school. Here is a partial record of Victor Ludorum winners. The year groups are doubly named here: 1-5, L6 and U6; with their modern equivalents: 7-13.

Micky Nuttell reports that he won the Victor Ludorum in 1985. Unfortunately the senior school winners of the award were not reported in the Bostonian between 1981 and 1985. None of the winners were reported in the 1978 or 1980 issues.

It is notable that Micky Nuttell was awarded the Victor Ludorum in all five years that he was at BGS.
