Randel D "Raz" Bolton was educated at Boston Grammar School.
At BGS he was treasurer of the JCR bar committee and captain of squash. He achieved 5 'O' Levels and 1 'A' Level, gaining a place at Birmingham College of Art. He was the drummer in the band Gotham City.
