26/03/2022 – Old Bostonian Association Annual Dinner 2022

26 March 2022 – 6:30pm for 7:30pm

Boston & County Club, Parkgate, Boston, PE21 6RL

Guest speaker – Chris Blakey (BGS 1962-70)

The dinner will take place at the Boston & County Club on 26 March 2022.

An Old Boy with a sense of adventure, Chris Blakey was certainly not a candidate for the Parry Gold Medal.  BGS did however play a key role in his life, encouraged by then Head William Ricketts and a young Rod Dunn, his PE teacher, setting him on a career path involving 30 years of sport and outdoor education including countless expeditions all over Europe.

In 2019 he drove a 1937, 750cc baby Austin from London through Russia to Tokyo for the Rugby World Cup.  Chris will also be spilling some truths of an infamous 1966 School trip to Russia and is hoping to see a few of his old friends from this trip at the Dinner.

Dress code: Lounge suits

Tickets £25.00 each

The dinner is open to former students of Boston Grammar School together with current and former members of staff at the school. You do not have to be a member of the Old Bostonian Association. You may also buy a ticket for a guest who need not have connections to BGS.
