Howard John McMullen. Bn Sep 1953. Boston General Hospital. I was actually born in an iron lung whilst my mother Jean was being treated for Polio. I attended Carlton Road Infant and Primary Schools before passing the 11+ Exam and gaining my place at BGS....my contempories were Jimmy Hindhaugh, Goy, Blackburn,Skelton etc. In 1969 I joined the RAF as an engineering apprentice at RAF Halton until 1971 and was then posted to RAF Coningsby (much to my utter contempt as I wanted to see the world not come back to Boston...)
