	Immediately after the [[Wikipedia:Air Ministry\|Air ~~Ministry~~]] announced the launching of the [[Wikipedia:Air Training Corps\|Air Training Corps]], [[Boston Grammar School]] formed its own flight, with [[Herbert Matthew Dickson]] ~~in command~~. The first parade was held on the 25th February 1941, when forty five cadets were enrolled and training began. The flight was upgraded to squadron in 1943.		Immediately after the [[Wikipedia:Air Ministry\|Air Minister]] announced the launching of the [[Wikipedia:Air Training Corps\|Air Training Corps]], [[Boston Grammar School]] formed its own flight, with [[Herbert Matthew Dickson]] as Commanding Officer. The official date of the formation of the flight (Flight Number 715) was 7th February 1941 and its first parade was held on the 25th February 1941, when forty five cadets were enrolled and training began. By November 1941 the number of cadets had risen to fifty four. The flight was upgraded to squadron in 1943.
