Peter died at the age of 78, after a long and brave fight against illness. Born the second of four children at [[Wikipedia:Old Leake|Leake Commonside]]. he was educated at BGS and apart from service in the armed forces, worked until retirement for Charles Wright & Sons (Millers) Ltd, being involved in the buying and selling of grain, and in the post of company secretary.
