To date the school has had two purpose-built Dining Halls.
First Dining Hall
The school's first Dining Hall, a HORSA building, was built in the late 1940s, and was usually referred to as the 'Canteen'. It was located close to Rowley Road, north of the Mart Yard.
The supposedly temporary structure lasted over 30 years until it was demolished in 1984 upon completion of the second Dining Hall. The Design and Technology Block was built in its place shortly afterwards.
