The main quadrangle buildings were opened on 21 October 1926. They were the most extensive addition to the school up until that point, and to this day they comprise a significant proportion of the school buildings.

In attendance at the opening ceremony were:

  • Sir Archibald Weigall, high sheriff of Lincolnshire
  • Admiral Earl Jellicoe of Scapa
  • Tom Kitwood, deputy chairman of the governors.
