Big Chief Fail was a band formed by former Vehicle Derek bassist, James Davies and his elder brother Christian Davies in 1989. The band was unique locally for using a drum machine to supplement James on guitar and Christian on bass. They released a demo cassette 'Spikehead' recorded at Sable Rose Studios, Coventry and played several gigs in Boston, Lincoln and Nottingham.
