This prize was named after Arthur Grocock (1879-1957), an alumnus who was admitted to BGS in January 1891. He later became a senior partner in the local legal firm of "Grocock and Staniland".
In 1984, Grocock and Staniland merged with Frost, Gunning and Co. to form Ringrose and Co - now known as Ringrose Law.
