Peter John Blakebrough was a teacher of English at Boston Grammar School from January 1979 to Summer 1984.

Peter Blakebrough was born in London and gained a BEd at Hughes Hall, Cambridge. BGS was his second teaching job, his first having been in London.

In the autumn of 1984 Peter started a full-time MA course at London University, returning to Boston at weekends.

Having finished his one-year MA course, he took up a post just below deputy head at Kitwood Boys' School. Peter was at "Kitwood" until January 1988 when he did a term's secondment to the Education HQ at Lincoln. While working in Lincoln, he secured a deputy headship in Kent.

It was in 1994 when changes in the organisation of the school and other issues led to Peter accepting an early retirement package. A few years after this, his marriage ended with Peter having care of the children, an activity which took up most of his time. Peter remarried in 2001.
