Tyrone "Ty" Dalby was educated at Boston Grammar School (1958-66).
While at BGS, Dalby was bass player in the band Gotham City.
He became Head Boy and played as the first eleven soccer team goalkeeper for two seasons before moving up to the University of Hull where he took a BA Degree in Drama and French, part of which he spent at the University of Grenoble in France. Graduating in 1970, he worked as a temporary teacher before finding employment in the pop music world with a London agency who represented several well-known rock groups, including the chart topping Mungo Jerry.
