David Edwin John Godfrey was a teacher of German at Boston Grammar School. Extra-curricular activities he was involved in included football, cricket and German Club.

While at Boston Grammar School

David Godfrey had a heart attack at home in February or March 1985 and never returned to teaching at BGS. He died in the first quarter of 1992.
