Due to the availability of these new classrooms, the [[Big School]] was increasingly used for assemblies rather than classroom teaching after 1926.

The Assembly Hall was connected in 1958, along with the second Dining Hall in 1984. The large quadrangle was later bisected by the Link Block in 1988.
