There is a question over the 1850 date of the "North end classroom of Big School". While this is what George Bagley says in Floreat Bostona, Hubert Turpin in his "Boston Grammar School - A short history" says "...in 1850 and 1866 the Trustees added a lobby and classroom at the north end of the Elizabethan hall. In 1856 a further classroom was built, at the south". This could make sense because of the different styles and heights of the lobby and classroom at the north end. While this is what George S Bagley says in Floreat Bostona, Hubert Turpin in his "Boston Grammar School - A short history" says "...in 1850 and 1866 the Trustees added a lobby and classroom at the north end of the Elizabethan hall. In 1856 a further classroom was built, at the south". This could make sense because of the different styles and heights of the lobby and classroom at the north end.
