J D Baumber was educated at Boston Grammar School (?-1968).
At BGS he was a sub-prefect, on the committees of the Debating Society and the JCR. He played badminton. He achieved 10 'O' Levels and 2 'A' Levels, gaining a place at Lanchester College of Technology.
