Thomas Mitchinson was the Second Master of Boston Grammar School from 1815 to 1820, under the headship of John Banks.
He is briefly mentioned in "A Concise Description of the Endowed Grammar Schools in England and Wales" (Volume 1), written by Nicholas Carlisle and published in 1818:
