Barjona Dove (or Dowe or Done) was appointed as headmaster of Boston Grammar School on 23 July 1613.
Dove was admitted sizar by Emmanuel College, Cambridge on 30 June 1609, matriculated the same year, scholar, BA 1612-13, MA 1616. He was ordained deacon and priest at Peterborough, 25, 26 September 1616. He had two sons, Samuel and Timothy, who were both Emmanuels MAs. Timothy was ordained in Ireland and became rector at Ripplingale, Lincolnshire in 1660, on the presentation of Sir John Brownlow.
