James Harold Sharp was educated at Boston Grammar School (1930s).

James Sharp has died at the age of 80. He collapsed and died whilst playing bowls at Wyberton Parish Hall.
Born at the Blacksmith Shop in Wyberton, he lived in the village all his life. He attended Boston Grammar School and then joined his father in the blacksmith's shop in Wyberton in 1936, retiring in 1985.
During the Second World War he was a member of the Auxiliary Fire Services. He served on Wyberton Playing Field Management Committee from 1961 to 1980 and was a founder member of Wyberton Variety Dance Club in 1971, which eventually closed in 1998. He was also a member of Wyberton History Group and Wyberton Indoor Bowling Club.
A married man, he leaves his wife Dorothy, son Richard and grandchildren Rebecca, James and Rosey.
The funeral service took place at Wyberton Church followed by burial in Wyberton Churchyard. The Rev Richard lreson officiated.
