Frederick Ralph Bozeat was educated at Boston Grammar School (1936-44). His parents kept a shoe shop in Church Street, Boston for many years. He designed the school hall and second science block which were built between 1956 and 1958. He was a member of the drawing office staff of Holland's county architect. Fairly soon after completion of the extension to the school, he left the town to pursue a career with county authorities elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
