Benny was a band formed following the end of the second incarnation of Vehicle Derek. Andy Sandall and Del Howes switched roles, added Aston Stephens and Alan Boyce. The band put out three albums and a couple of singles/compilation appearances.
Benny's repertoire included a tribute to the Beast Mart proclamation, the opening track on the second album 'Our True Intent Is All For Your Delight'. The first two albums also featured homages to the BGS Jazz Band, in which both Alan Boyce and Andy Sandall had played bass guitar.
