American Life or History Essay Prize

The name of this prize is unconfirmed, but it was first awarded in 1941, given to the school by Lieutenant H W (later Sir Herbert) Butcher RNVR, Holland-with-Boston MP. Butcher was the guest of honour at the School's 1940 Speech Day.
