The table below sets out the known heads of school for each academic year. The role has previously been referred to as 'First Boy', 'Head Prefect', 'Senior Prefect' and more commonly 'Head Boy'. Since 2016-17, BGS has also appointed a Head Girl.
The heads of school from 1954-55 onwards are recorded on honours boards displayed in the Assembly Hall.
