Brian Frank Edwin Thornton was educated at Boston Grammar School (1950-1954).
Obituary
Brian was a pupil at BGS from 1950-1954 after which he joined the Royal Navy as an apprentice artifficer, eventually serving as a Submariner. He left the Navy in 1968 and returned to Boston to take over local funeral directors Carr Funeral Service with his father and uncle where he worked until (semi) retirement in 2003.
Brian passed away on 25 September 2020 aged 81. He was a life member of the Old Bostonian Association. His funeral took place on 7 October 2020 in private because of COVID-19 restrictions.
