Cyril Leslie Farrow attended BGS from 1920 to 1926, and was an active member of the Old Bostonian Association. He worked as a shopkeeper, owning an off-licence in Fydell Street for many years.
He died in December 1982, leaving an estate valued at £69,760. Among his bequests was £500 to Boston Grammar School to be used for the annual purchase of a cricket bat. This bat was to be presented on Speech Day to the best all-round sportsman in the school.
