Lawrence Veale was a teacher of Physics and Mathematics at Boston Grammar School for 36 years, from 1952 to 1988.

Before Boston Grammar School

Laurence Veale was educated at Heversham Grammar School and was awarded an MA in 1951 by Queen's College, Oxford, where he was a soccer blue. He served in the RAF.

While at Boston Grammar School

Veale was appointed deputy head of Boston Grammar School in 1967 and was acting headmaster in 1977-1978 between the departure of Philip Johnston and the arrival of Arthur Shrimpton.
