Frederick Ralph Bozeat was educated at Boston Grammar School (1936-44). He won the Ogle Divinity Prize twice: in 1943 and 1944. His parents kept a shoe shop in Church Street, Boston for many years.

He designed the school hall and second science block which were built between 1956 and 1958. He was a member of the drawing office staff of Holland's county architect. Fairly soon after completion of the extension to the school, he left the town to pursue a career with county authorities elsewhere in the United Kingdom.

Ralph Bozeat died in April this year. He had a distinguished career in architecture reaching the responsible position of County Architect in Essex. He had retired and was living in Aylsham near Cromer.
